Mission Accomplished

The majority of work is finally done in our upstairs bathroom.  We put down new floor and installed a new toilet.  We have a man coming this week to install the vanity, sink, faucet, and mirror.  Then all that is left is to put up the beadboard and railing.  Oh yes, and we need to figure out what to do in our upstairs shower.  The former owner put in this addition and most of what was done doesn’t make sense.  The shower is made of concrete board.  None of the walls are square.  It won’t fit a standard shower insert.  We’re still trying to figure out what to do with it.

For the moment, our children will at least be able to use the toilet and old sink.  It makes me happy.  And I feel very proud of myself.  Even better, my husband and I didn’t argue once!  It has been quite a nice day.  I have a feeling that I will sleep very soundly tonight.

It’s so satisfying to complete a kitchen or bathroom remodel … the stress of doing it is (almost) worth the pleasure of having it finished. 🙂

  2. Almost, but not quite. At least not yet. My muscles are screaming at me to never entertain such folly ever again. I hate to tell them, but the other bathroom is next!
